The KLC day at DECOREX 2007 was a huge success.

The day was in celebration of 25 years of teaching design excellence. KLC have championed Place2be the children’s counselling charity, highlighting the KLC mantra the “design changes lives”. Decorex were thanked for their support and warmth, on their 30 year birthday.

Simon Cavelle opened the day with a talk on “the search for inspiration” exploring how different people become inspired.

Mark Wilkinson expanded from Simon's lead and detailed how he tapped into his creativity and drove his design process. Joanna Wood looked at how she created her styles and highlighted important issues through a tour of her recent work. Gail Taylor and Karen Howes focused on their teamwork response, and showed various projects that celebrated fine materials and cultural influences.

Simon Cavelle summed up the day, with how a generosity of spirit gives soul to a design, and thanked all the speakers for their hard work and passion for the subject.

There could not have been a better day in which to celebrate KLC’s 25 years than with great designers within Decorex 2007.
