Whilst a large proportion of a designer’s work
involves administration, the success of a scheme often
relies on the creativity used in answering the brief.
Creativity
is a crucial element of the designer’s skills and
is often illusive when most needed. This workshop will
discuss the procedures that help the individual access
their creativity and overcome “designer’s block”.
Delegates will gain a better understanding of how creativity
can be released, and be able to access their own creative
competence and free their imagination. Practising designers
often report how beneficial they find these techniques
both personally and professionally.
- Identifying and releasing creativity
- The power of the senses
- Accessing the memory bank
- Lateral thought exercises and mind-mapping
- Developing a concept
- Putting together a concept board
