Are you interested in recruiting KLC Graduates?

Please contact Marcy Brown on careersservice@klc.co.uk with further information about the position and we will be happy to put forward suitable candidates.

KLC offers a bespoke service, whereby great care is taken to match the skills of a specific student to the requirements of a particular design practice. We are very proactive about helping graduates from our professional courses find employment and we have an excellent track record, with graduates now employed by a range of prestigious companies (a list is available here). Employers return to us on a regular basis knowing that our students will have had a realistic and practical training for the design workplace. We do not make any charge to our students or employers for this unique service.

KLC's location at Chelsea Harbour means that our interior design students are based in the heart of the industry from their first day of study. With the Design Centre on the doorstop, students have access to almost 100 design related trade showrooms, as well as the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).

Our garden design students study at the truly unique location of Hampton Court Palace where they have access to the 20th Century Gardens and gain invaluable practical horticultural experience.

The courses themselves are built around design projects based on real life situations with actual clients, so that the work feels as close to a Design Studio as possible. Inspirational lectures are regularly given from some of the leading practitioners in the industry.

Outstanding careers support is provided throughout KLC's vocational courses. Carefully structured careers lectures and workshops are coupled with one-to-one sessions for portfolio surgeries and careers advice, including CV design and layout. Work Experience opportunities are also offered to students during the Diploma Course (both full-time and blended learning), which can provide an invaluable route to finding employment at the end of the course. Students and graduates also have instant access to current job vacancies via the Student Forum on the KLC website.

KLC keeps in close contact with past students worldwide through the KLC Design Network and continues to offer on-going careers advice. As a participant in many leading design exhibitions, our policy is to involve students both past and present, as fully as possible. Many graduates return after experience in the field to become our tutors and established alumni with their own practices in turn offer current students work experience and employment. KLC will put any design enquiries from members of the public through to practising graduates.

KLC Graduates with two or more years’ experience, looking to move up the career ladder, have access to the specialist expertise at Cobalt Recruitment.
